Dear Rogers Families,
It’s hard to believe we are already in March! The year is flying by, and as we head into Spring Break, I want to take a moment to celebrate the wonderful events and connections that make our Rogers community so special. This past week has been filled with exciting gatherings, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to learn from one another. It’s always inspiring to see our families, staff, and students come together to support and uplift one another.
Last Saturday’s Mother-Son Bowling event was a fantastic success! It was wonderful to see so many of our students and their moms enjoying time together, making memories, and sharing some friendly competition on the lanes. A huge thank you to April May for her time, effort, and dedication in organizing such a special event for our community!
Our most recent RPO meeting was action-packed! We had the privilege of hearing from Board of Education candidates, who shared their perspectives and insights with us. Additionally, we welcomed Rogers graduates currently in middle school, who answered questions from parents and our 5th graders about their experiences transitioning to OMS. Their reflections provided valuable reassurance and insight into what lies ahead for our soon-to-be middle schoolers.
We were also joined by OMS principal Mike Salsman, someone I’ve had the pleasure of knowing for a long time. Without a doubt, he is one of my favorite people in our district. Not only is he a wonderful principal, but I also consider him a good friend. I know our Rogers graduates are in great hands with Mr. Salsman and the entire OMS team as they continue their educational journey.
Finally, with Spring Break just around the corner, I want to wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable break next week. Whether you're traveling or staying close to home, I hope it's a time of rest, fun, and rejuvenation for all!

Your partner in education,

Patrick
