Happy Holidays & Greetings from Rogers!

On behalf of the students, faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to the Rogers Elementary School website.

While on our webpage I encourage you to follow the links found throughout our site where you can find such things as the lunch menu for the month and information about our school. Additionally, we have a collection of videos about our wonderful staff members that are truly worth watching. We are constantly working to upgrade our site to provide you with information. If you ever have any suggestions as to what you would like to see on our site, please let me know.

As we approach the end of the first semester, we have a lot taking place at Rogers. Our Second and Fourth grade scholars, along with the members of the Morris Team and Bell Choir, had a splendid performance at the Winter Concert. The Rogers Parent Organization did a magnificent job getting the Rogers Community in the Holiday spirit with “PJ’s and Pancakes with Santa” and we will soon have our annual classroom holiday parties to celebrate the end of the semester.

At the same time we are having all of these activities taking place, we are still focusing on ensuring that our students continue to enhance their reading, writing and math skills. Our teachers are receiving high-quality professional development particularly in math to help our scholars increase their awareness of the mathematical practices.

At Rogers, there are many points of pride at our school. One of the key points of pride and a crucial ingredient to our success is the great community we have at Rogers. Our students are fantastic, our teachers and staff are awesome, and we have a committed group of parents who are extremely generous in their support of our school.

At Rogers, all of us give our best effort each day to help every student learn at high-levels, develop appropriate social skills, and discover the value of hard-work, perseverance and a “can do” attitude.

In addition to promoting academic success, creativity, and critical thinking, we believe that a quality education extends to teaching and modeling the values of honesty, determination, integrity, persistence, perseverance, trustworthiness, and respect. Our success in achieving these goals has earned Rogers recognition as both a Missouri School of Character and a National School of Character.

Beyond our school goals, students are provided with many opportunities to excel outside of the classroom. We have a chess team, crochet club, character club, STEM club, student leadership team, running team, and bell choir.

It has been written that “public education is the greatest pathway to opportunity in America.” Each day we come together as a team to prepare our future leaders. We empower our students by implementing knowledge and skills that nurture the roles each will play in making our world a better place.
