Greetings from Rogers Elementary School!

On behalf of the students, faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to the Rogers Elementary School website.

It’s a big night at Rogers with our monthly RPO meeting taking place at 7 PM. This evening some of the candidates for the Board of Education will be joining us to share their reasons for wanting to serve on the board. There will also be time for you to ask them questions. I hope to see you tonight.

Also, on February 11th, we will have our annual Friendship Party for our students. The RPO is planning an exciting party for the kids. As the event gets closer, there will be more details.

I also want to take this opportunity to talk about bringing birthday treats, candy, or other food items to school to give to all the students in class. As part of our Wellness Policy, food items are not allowed to be given out on campus while school is in session. If you have questions, please call me at (314) 467-6301.

For our visitors and guests, while on our webpage I encourage you to follow the links found throughout our site where you can find such things as the lunch menu for the month and information about our school. Additionally, we have a collection of videos about our wonderful staff members that are truly worth watching. We are constantly working to upgrade our site to provide you with information. If you ever have any suggestions as to what you would like to see on our site, please let me know.

At Rogers, there are many points of pride at our school. One of the key points of pride and a crucial ingredient to our success is the great community we have at Rogers. Our students are fantastic, our teachers and staff are awesome, and we have a committed group of parents who are extremely generous in their support of our school.

At Rogers, all of us give our best effort each day to help every student learn at high-levels, develop appropriate social skills, and discover the value of hard-work, perseverance and a “can do” attitude.

In addition to promoting academic success, creativity, and critical thinking, we believe that a quality education extends to teaching and modeling the values of honesty, determination, integrity, persistence, perseverance, trustworthiness, and respect. Our success in achieving these goals has earned Rogers recognition as both a Missouri School of Character and a National School of Character.

Beyond our school goals, students are provided with many opportunities to excel outside of the classroom. We have a chess team, crochet club, character club, STEM club, student leadership team, running team, and bell choir.

It has been written that “public education is the greatest pathway to opportunity in America.” Each day we come together as a team to prepare our future leaders. We empower our students by implementing knowledge and skills that nurture the roles each will play in making our world a better place.

If you have any questions or comments about Rogers Elementary School please contact me at 314-467-6301; also, feel free to follow me on Twitter @Principal_RES.

Patrick
